Machined from 4130 Chromoly steel. The internal diameter is manufactured undersized for custom fitting to your barrel.
Requires final ID machining, high temp silver soldering to the barrel and coating or bluing afterwards. Shipped unhardened and uncoated.

Gunsmithing Required.
Directions:
Measure the outside diameter of your shotgun barrel at the muzzle.
Cut the internal diameter to fit your barrel.
Then Heat Treat For Strength And Durability(can be heat treated up to 48 HRC).
1. Hardening:
- Heating: Heat the 4140 steel to a temperature between 1500-1600°F (820-860°C).
- Holding: Hold the steel at this temperature for 1-1/2 hours per inch of thickness, with a minimum holding time of 2 hours.
- Quenching: Quench the steel in mineral oil or air. 2. Tempering:
- Temperature: Temper the steel at a temperature between 400-1300°F (205-649°C). The exact temperature will depend on the desired hardness and toughness.
- Holding: Hold the steel at the tempering temperature for an appropriate amount of time, depending on the thickness and desired properties.
- Cooling: Allow the steel to cool slowly in air or furnace.
High temp silver solder to the barrel carefully to not ruin the hardening in the breacher.
