February at Phoenix Weaponry was a month to focus on new business from the SHOT show and continue to build and ship customers firearms and reduce lead times. Just back from the SHOT Show, we attended an event for Jeff Fisher who is running for Sheriff in Larimer county, Colorado.

All the machines at Phoenix have been humming along, turning pallets of billet aluminum into AR-.308 lowers and lever-action optic mounts. We’ve got machines taking blocks of billet titanium and billet stainless steel and making our Delta MonoCore direct thread suppressors along with integrally suppressed weapons. Billet gas blocks and other small components continued to be produced daily.

this post is all about the cool things we had going on at the shop and outside events throughout the month of January 2022

Phoenix Weaponry January 2022 in review

Starting the new year with a countdown to SHOT Show, we were buttoning up all of the last-minute items for the booth we were finally ready. After the new year, we had a bring your AK to work day where everyone with an AK variant got to bring it in along with their best eastern block clothing.

New for 2022, we debuted our new integrally suppressed, breaching, 12-gauge shotgun. The breacher is machined from 4130 Chromoly steel and is heat-treated to 48 Rockwell. Essentially made strong enough to jam into any wood or metal door and blow the doorknob off.

We kicked off our new AR-15 build class, where you can add-on to your Phoenix Weaponry rifle a build class where our master gunsmiths will teach you how to safely build your AR-15. Then in the afternoon, a Class 1 Carbine course is taught where a firearms instructor will show you how to safely operate your new Phoenix Weaponry AR-15. See more here:

Rocky Mountain Tactical Coatings continues to come out with more awesome patterns, this time the guys unveiled a water spot camo coating.

The CZ61 receiver builds are getting close to being finished and assembled, so stay tuned for a test fire video and write up on those.

Late January was here, and it was finally time to leave for SHOT Show 2022. With the RV and the trailer packed up, it was time to make our way over the snowy rocky mountains and get to the show. Upon arriving, one of the first things we saw was an old British Ferret parked outside of one of the hotels! At the show, Ralph Troy Hicks released his new book –
SHOT Show ran all week, and we were very happy with how consistently busy the booth was, where we got to meet existing dealers and set up new dealers from around the nation. We’ve also garnered attention from several companies and agencies internationally that want the revered Christine .45-70 auto. Phoenix Weaponry also launched new red dot optic mounts for lever actions, the integrally suppressed 12-gauge breaching shotgun, and the new dealer starter kit full of billet AR accessories.

Rounding out the year, Phoenix Weaponry had a very good December. Starting off with the Merry Miracles sporting clays shoot at Great Guns in Nunn, Colorado which was a toys for tots event. We ended up getting some CZ 61 parts kits, so we did the only thing we knew to do. That's to make some billet receivers for some new full-auto CZ 61 machine guns.

Phoenix Weaponry has acquired a new EDM machine, making 4 EDM machines in total now. This particular model is referred to as a “hole popper”. Several areas where this will increase our capabilities such as revolver barrel porting and decrease the amount of time it takes to make integrally suppressed firearms.

Towards the end of the month, we took some time and went duck hunting in Idaho with some family members. December wouldn’t be complete without getting stranded in a winter storm on I-80 in Wyoming trying to get home in time for Christmas. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We will see you all in 2022 with more new products.

We had some pretty nice weather here in Colorado in October, which was good because the team at Phoenix participated in a ton of outdoor events. Early in the month, Sheriff Steve Reams from our neighboring Weld county stopped by to tour the showroom and some new builds. He also invited us to attend a benefit car show on the 9th to help support

Before the next; sporting clays shoot, we decided to take a weekend and see a Toby Keith concert and enjoy the Blue Angels flyover.
Halfway through the month it was good to get away for a little fun at a neighboring town’s event where a friends band was playing in the Mead days celebration. The next day we headed up to Cheyenne, Wyoming and attended the Wild West air show.

Phoenix Weaponry and Phoenix Manufacturing has added an additional machine to their fleet in order to increase production. A Mitsubishi FX10 EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine) wire cutting machine was brought in, set up and was immediately put into action. These types of machines are primarily used for hard metals or those that are very difficult to machine with traditional techniques. EDM machines cut intricate contours or cavities in various metals.
Rounding out the month we stopped by the UTV expo at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado where it turns out we knew quite a few of the exhibitors and attendees. There were some crazy cool UTV’s on display there.

September 24th we sponsored the Aim To Help event put on by the Colorado Child Advocacy Center which helps abused children. Along with sponsoring the event and donating multiple suppressors that were auctioned off there was also a multi-stage steel target shooting event and a 15-station sporting clay shoot. The competition was tough as there were some very fast and accurate shooters but Team Phoenix ended up taking first place overall.

The showroom is open by appointment only as we continue to work through the back log of firearm builds. Right now as long as our orders of necessary small parts continue to come in we are able to build about 40 firearms at this time. We are also working through gun smithing and coating projects as well. If you have any questions about your build or need to schedule some time to come in please email us at:

August was another busy month full of events, the open house, and shows. The industry is starting to catch up with inventory, and as it becomes available, items such as barrels and bolt carrier groups come in, we are now able to build more customer’s firearms. The showroom is still open by appointment only for a little while longer as we get caught up. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at

Red dot sights being installed on Glock slides are still very popular. One of the services we offer is what’s commonly called the “RMR Cut”. While this is not limited to Trijicon RMR optics, we take whichever brand of optic you want to be installed on your Glock slide, take the measurements from that, and precision machine your slide for that optic. Having a proper snug fit reduces the stress of repeated recoil on the small mounting screws. Check out the video of this process here:

The Precision Buttstock is machined to Phoenix Weaponry’s insanely tight .002” tolerance out of premium 6061 billet aluminum for rugged reliability and rock-solid stability. Not to be outdone, the length-of-pull adjustment rods and locking pin are machined out of titanium. Additional components like the cheek rest and buttpad are constructed of Kydex and rubber, respectively. As a standardizing note, the Phoenix Weaponry Precision Buttstock’s bones are comprised of a skeletonized billet-aluminum frame and a carbine-length buffer tube, compatible with AR-15, LR-308, AR-10 and Hunter Biden’s illegally purchased AR-14—altogether different story for another day. The carbine length tube, buffer and spring assembly, and Phoenix Weaponry’s adjustable gas block made fine-tuning for perfect case ejection a breeze. That is to say, if a carbine length tube on an AR-10/LR-308 platform concerns you, it definitely should not. Emma is running like a Swiss clock.

We kicked it off with a thorough sound reduction test for the integrally suppressed shotgun line and the integrally suppressed rifle line. Following military testing procedures and using industry-standard sound meters, Lab Radar, Kestrel meters, and several other instruments, the results were pleasantly surprising. Stay tuned for news on the results.

Construction on the second story inside the building continues and has made room for a brand new lathe on the machine shop floor. With the addition of this new lathe, Phoenix Weaponry will be able to increase production on suppressors, muzzle devices, barrel extensions, and many other weapon parts. Rifles, firearms, and billet machined components continue to ship daily; adding new machines and increased staff makes this possible.

Phoenix Weaponry was able to obtain several Thompson parts kits one; of the main components that’s not included are the lower receivers. 1018 billet steel was selected as the starting material for the new Phoenix Weaponry made Thompson lower receivers. This steel was chosen because, in addition to its strength, it offers a better surface finish when it’s completed, coated, or blued. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to see more!

The Central Wyoming Machine Gun & Cannon Shoot invited Phoenix Weaponry to tour the event this year, as we evaluate becoming a vendor and possibly adding this event to our machine gun party and rental list. Following up on this event was an invite to be on an episode of Sportsman of Colorado radio show (560 AM or 100.7 FM) with special guest Luke from Lone Star Hunts.

The ATN Corp. Thor 4 is a user friendly thermal rifle scope with substantial battery life, clear, precise imaging, and a convenient one-touch recording feature that allows hunters to video the very second in which they harvest their game.

and hunted hours upon hours without very little reduction in battery strength. Other hunters with us, who use THOR 4 on a regular basis, explained they hunt a full night and start hunting the next before needed to recharge.

And recharging is easy. Just plug the THOR 4 into a 110 wall outlet via the USB cord provided with the scope. (Option B is to keep the USB cord plugged into the pickup truck power supply and charge the scope to and from the hunt.)

The THOR 4 has a user friendly menu that becomes viewable in the display via the press of one button atop the scope. Once the menu is open the hunter can scroll through it by pressing buttons to move left to right or by rolling a dial to move up and down.

The scope also has a one-touch recording feature that allows the hunter to get set up, press one button, and record the moment he harvests his game. The recording can then be downloaded to a smart phone via a wireless connection.

The image on the THOR 4 can be adjusted throughout the hunt by using the ATN Obsidian 4 app, which can be downloaded to a smart phone. The app allows the hunter to adjust the image as humidity changes and dew point approaches in the night.

The Obsidian 4 app also allows the hunter to change the color of the reticle, as well as alter which color shows heat and which shows cold, etc.

There is more hunting to be done with the THOR 4, but the first impression of the scope can be summed up in one word: excellent.

Several organizations in Colorado are expanding their gun shows to cities and towns across Colorado that are open to the public. As most counties are now lifting covid restrictions, turnout at these shows is high. Phoenix Weaponry remains committed to exhibiting at most every Sportsman’s Expo, Tanner gun show, and PE gun show from Sterling to Eagle and from Loveland to Colorado Springs. Almost every other weekend, you will find the Phoenix Weaponry booth at these shows. Two of the most recent shows were the Sportsman’s Expo in Sterling and the Tanner gun show in Colorado Springs.

Whether you are coming to purchase a firearm, components, take a class taught by our expert gunsmiths, or want to browse, the Phoenix Weaponry booth has something for everyone. The Sportsman’s Expo in Sterling, Colorado opened its doors at 9 am on Saturday, where people were free to browse all of the exhibitors and vendors. At 10 am, Phoenix Weaponry held an AR15 build class for anyone that wanted to attend. After that, a precision bolt action cleaning class was held from 1 pm to 2:30 pm followed up by suppressor/silencer maintenance from 3-4 pm. Sunday also had a range day built into the schedule of events. During this time, attendees of the show could stop by Phoenix Weaponry’s area and not only see but experience multiple machine gun shoots, including a full-auto 1919, M16, Ruger Mini 14, Max 10, STEN, and an AK47.

Good old Colorado springtime snowstorm wasn’t about to stop Phoenix Weaponry from exhibiting at the Tanner gun show in Colorado Springs. The attendance was huge there were over 7,500 people that attended that show over the weekend and, the Phoenix Weaponry booth was packed the entire time. Phoenix Weaponry Owner Aaron Cayce who attends almost every show said, “it felt like the good old days where everyone is busy and the people are happy to be there.”

Wild boars are not native to the United States; they were brought here by early explorers and settlers. It is estimated that wild boars cause over 1.5 billion dollars in damage to crops each year in the United States. One state that gets particularly hit hard in Texas. Living and working in a state that does not have issues with wild boars yet is Colorado, where Phoenix Weaponry is located so it’s hard to imagine the destructive scale these creatures cause until you witness it.

One family farm and ranch in Texas has been having to deal with crop and land destruction for decades. To help eradicate this invasive species Lone Star Hunts in Henrietta, Texas was started on their family’s farm. To help offset the damage these invasive hogs do, they created a night hunting program. Wild hogs are somewhat easier to hunt at night since they are more active in the search for food or moving from one field to the next. Luckily in the great state of Texas, hunting wild boars at night with thermal optics is permitted.

Phoenix Weaponry is known for making extremely accurate, long-range, bolt action rifles along with highly accurate, heavy-hitting AR platform rifles and suppressors to keep each one very quiet. When the guys at Phoenix heard that Lone Start Hunts were putting together a night hunting package, we knew we needed to get our friends at Pulsar thermal optics involved and book a trip.

Friday, April 9th, 5 a.m. MST the Phoenix Weaponry RV is loaded with everyone’s gear and all the hardware. Joining us on this hunt we took Kelly, Robyn, Christine, and Sarah along with an MP5 build and a custom precision bolt gun built by Phoenix Weaponry. Eastbound and down, we made the 12 plus hour trip from Berthoud, Colorado to Henrietta, Texas. We arrive with just enough time to get the RV unloaded, thermal optics installed, sighted in, and hit the field just after dark.

Within 30 minutes of being out in the field, a group of hogs was spotted using thermal monoculars and the hunt was on. The first group is led by our Lone Star Hunts guide setup position within 100 yards of the hogs. A nice 200+ pound hog was no match for the first hunter using a Sarah chambered in .308 and breathing quietly through a .338 Phoenix Weaponry Delta MonoCore suppressor. Not bad for our first trip out there and after being up for almost 24 hours, we decided to head back to the ranch house to get some rest.

We wanted to maximize our hunting opportunity so we also brought some dedicated day hunting rifles with us. Thermal optics can also be used during the day since they show the variance in temperatures if you have a hog out in the field, you will be able to spot it. Some of the hunters chose to use their same set up during the entire hunt while others switched up to their day hunting rifles. First thing in the morning, before breakfast and coffee, we all headed back out into the field. This time we had hunters using a Robyn which, is an integrally suppressed Ruger American rifle chambered in .300 Blackout and a custom-made integrally suppressed .22-250. As someone who was shooting with Robyn for the first time, it is truly an amazing experience to be shooting with an integrally suppressed rifle. It is very well balanced, the contour of the barrel/suppressor combination is concentric so you don’t have a large object at the end of your barrel like a direct thread suppressor to impede your sight. Not to mention standard height scope rings and a normal optic work perfectly. Even the 100-pound wild hog on the move was no match for the accuracy of Robyn.

Throughout the rest of the weekend, both day and night the Phoenix Weaponry crew and friends continued to quell the sounders or groups of feral hogs on the farmlands of Lone Star Hunts. Confirmed kills at five hundred yards and a thousand plus yards were taken during the day, and even some in very close proximity as they were flushed out of the creek bottom. All in all, everyone had an incredible time, the harvest was plentiful for everyone on the trip, and everyone’s hearing was protected by the suppressed firearms made by Phoenix Weaponry.

This year instead of our yearly trek to ShotShow a group of industry friends Infidel Outfitters (Joe Swoboda) & Waist Deep Charters (Leevi Escobar) and AWR from Breitbart, got together in south Texas to get away for a little while and have some fun. This year we decided on meeting up at Sellmark’s location in Texas and driving down to Port Mansfield for some Duck hunting, fishing, and full-auto fun.

Pre-trip check at Phoenix Weaponry, we decided to bring some real toys and one of our new integrally suppressed shotguns as our contribution to the fun. We took a full-auto version of a Morgan AR 15, Integrally suppressed .338-06, Autumn our new integrally suppressed 12-gauge shotgun, and one of our signature rifles, a .45-70 auto.

Wednesday, January 27th, go to Denver International Airport and got ready to depart to Dallas Fort Worth. From there, we made it to Sellmark’s headquarters, home of Pulsar thermal optics, Sightmark, Kopfjager, Firefield, and their new brand Bullet Safe.

The next morning Mike from Sellmark and I got up early, loaded up the vehicle, and picked up Kevin from Main Beam Media. As part of our 8-hour drive south to Port Mansfield, we stopped a couple of times along the way to search for ammo and get my hunting and fishing licenses. If you're driving through a town called West, Texas stop in at Slovacek's and get yourself some traditional Kolaches for a snack.

Later that night, we arrived in Port Mansfield, met up with Joe and Hector from Infidel Outfitters, for taco’s and libations. When in Texas, you have to enjoy some TX Whiskey!

After a very short night's rest, we got up early Friday morning and fired up the airboat, and headed out to our blind. It's such an incredible sight to watch the sunrise come up over the water. Not too much longer, and here come the Ducks. They have quite a variety of species down there that we were able to hunt like; Pin Tails, Red Heads, Green Wing Teals, Blue Wing Teals, Wigeon, Gadwall, and Spoonbills. What a great day, Duck hunting in South Texas! Tired and hungry, we loaded up, got back on the airboat, and went back to town for lunch at the Windjammer. For the rest of the day and into the evening we went out to the marina and fished off the docks. After spending the afternoon reeling in some black drum, catfish, and even a stingray, we took a break for some dinner at Pelicans then headed back out for more fishing.

Saturday, we met up with Levi from Waist Deep Charters and headed out to the flats in their shallow water fishing boat. It’s very different seeing such a vast area that’s only knee to waist-deep water. With Phoenix Weaponry being located in Colorado, we are used to very deep, high mountain lakes. We had our limit by around lunchtime, so we reeled everything in and went back to shore to the local shooting range for some full-auto fun by Phoenix Weaponry. Dinner time came around on Saturday, and normally I don’t care for eating fish but after a full day of catching fish in the flats, we headed over to Joe and Hector’s along with AWR from Breitbart where they had their Discada fired up and were processing the fish we just caught. Fresh fish tacos and Duck made right there on the coast - I didn’t leave hungry.

Sunday was a quieter day as we made the 8-hour trip from Port Mansfield back up to Sellmark’s headquarters again, stopping at Slovacek's for some more Kolache’s and buying enough for the factory crew at Sellmark.

Monday morning, we all hung out at Sellmark and discussed opportunities and challenges of manufacturing products in the USA. Later on, that day got back on a plane and headed back to DIA. What an amazing trip we had, and I cannot thank the guys enough from Sellmark, Kevin at Main Beam Media, Joe, and Hector at Infidel Outfitters, and Levi from Waist Deep Charters for making this trip so fun and memorable.

The Phoenix Weaponry .30 caliber suppressor provides superior hearing protection by taking the sharp, ear-splitting report out of rounds like the .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.8 SPC (Special Purpose Cartridge), and others of a similar style.

The .30 Cal. suppressor uses a 3-part Delta Monocore baffling system that can be easily disassembled for cleaning and then quickly reassembled.

Moreover, it takes notably quieter rounds, like the 300 Blackout, and creates a situation where the report is minimalized to the point the sound of the action cycling nearly occurs at the same volume.

Phoenix Weaponry Launches Their Flashlight and Weapon Light Line

Fully Machined From Billet the 1100 Lumen Flashlight does double-duty as a handheld light and weapon light.

           Berthoud, CO:

Phoenix Weaponry, a custom firearms manufacturer specializing in long-range rifles and integrally suppressed firearms announces a new line of billet flashlights. There are many flashlights and weapon lights but few can say they double as both. Boasting 1100 lumens of light this fully machined flashlight cuts through the darkness whether you are using it as a handheld light or mounted to your favorite home-defense firearm. The body of the light was designed to fit into any 1-inch scope ring.

After months of testing and proving the design Phoenix Weaponry Owner Aaron Cayce said, “We have successfully developed a light that will withstand everyday use, being submerged under 6-feet of freezing water, and recoil from some of the most powerful commercially available firearms and custom wildcat chambered firearms. Utilizing some of the same materials from our weapons accessories and components such as titanium and aerospace-grade aluminum we have created the most durable and versatile light on the market.”

The Phoenix Weaponry flashlight is made in the USA and takes its looks from blend of retro airplanes and rocket engines. All of the threads on the flashlight body go through a gold chemical conversion process meeting the Mil-Spec MIL-DTL-5541 standard. It also features five internal sealing O-rings along with top of the line LED bulb and driver. Currently available in Tungsten, Flat Dark Earth, Burnt Bronze, Black, and O.D. Green. MSRP: $399.95

Anvil RTH signature series of precision design rifles

at the International Shot Show 2020, taking place in Las Vegas, Phoenix Weaponry showcased its Anvil RTH signature series of precision design rifles.

At the International Shot Show 2020, Phoenix Weaponry showcased its Anvil RTH signature series of precision design rifles.

Aaron Cayce the owner of Phoenix Weaponry speaking from his booth at the Shot Show said: “It has been amazing the reception the rifle has received. People see the rifle on a tripod mount and just stop in their tracks to see the rifle. There is nothing out there that comes close to the design and precision of the Anvil semi-auto rifle.”

The Anvil is a semi-auto that comes in many calibers, ranging from 6.5 Creedmoor to 308 Win. Its carbon fiber hexagon stock is an eye catcher and the barrel mounts a titanium muzzle break. The trigger is adjustable and polished to deliver a crisp break when pulled. It can hit a dime at 100 yards all day long then reach out to 1500 yards with little effort. The customer picks the color and the caliber.

Its butt-stock is amazing and fully adjustable; it looks like a component from a fighter jet. The rifle when shot has a recoil similar to a .22 caliber rifle. It is very light and allows the rifle person to stay on his scope and never miss their sight picture.

The rifle was a multi-year collaboration between Phoenix Weaponry and Ralph Hicks the author of Fundamentals of Long Distance Shooting. Aaron and Ralph perfected what has to be the best looking and the best performing rifle on the market.

The Anvil looks like the Ferrari of rifles.

Phoenix Weaponry is more than your average firearm manufacture, they train in conceal carry use of all forms of firearms, including fully automatic firearms as a Class 3 license holder, they have some of the best gunsmiths in the country and often produce top hunting and competition bolt and semi-auto rifles. They also custom build rifles and pistols to meet their customers needs. They have a retail store that carries they unique brand of parts from triggers to rails.

Along with their amazing rifles, Phoenix Weaponry showed off its board array of suppressors. Included at the show were two suppressed shotguns that knock off 25-30db. It allows you to shoot a shotgun without hearing protection.

Other rifles integrally suppressed included a Ruger 10/22 all the way up to the higher impact hunting calibers.

A small-town based Colorado Company is disrupting the entire gun manufacturing industry. It's designs and its ability to achieve remarkable precision sets it apart from all others. Aaron welcomes all to see its base of operations and to view its firearms at its Berthoud, Colorado local location.
