Precision Machined Tactical Flashlight

Ever wish you had an amazing flashlight for everyday use that you can also mount to your firearm?

The engineering team at Phoenix Weaponry teamed up with Aaron Hanson of AJH Knives to develop an 1100 lumen flashlight. This light can handle everyday life and withstand being mounted on the Phoenix Weaponry 45-70 auto shelling out 4,000 foot-pounds of muzzle energy.

Starting with the body of the flashlight, the team selected billet 6061-T6 aerospace grade aluminum for weight savings and corrosion resistance. It is then fully machined and finished in-house to exacting tolerances where it will fit a 1-inch scope ring. For a unique look, styling cues were taken from a blend of retro airplanes mixed with a rocket engine. The internals and retaining rings of the flashlight are all machined from 360 brass. This grade of brass was selected for its great machinability and heat conductivity to expel excess heat from the LED bulb and driver.

Once machining has been completed on all threads of the aluminum body they go through a gold chemical conversion process. This is a process where the outer layer of the metal surface is chemically transformed into a protective layer meeting the Mil-Spec MIL-DTL-5541 standard. This was chosen for superior corrosion resistance and to offer the user a lifetime of performance. The outside of the flashlight is protected by DuraCoat®which is one of the finest firearm finishes on the market. Standard colors that are offered are Tungsten, Flat Dark Earth, Burnt Bronze,Black, and O.D. Green. If you have a custom color feel free to ask.Equally important to the rest of the top grade components is the 6AL-4V grade titanium strike face. If you needed to use this flashlight as a defensive aid or glass breaker this striking face is up to the task. Behind that titanium, strike face sits a glow in the dark ring so you always know which end is pointing where.

The flashlight is then hand-assembled using five O-rings to seal out water, dust, and debris from entering the bulb, LED driver, and battery pack. This ensures you get a flashlight that can withstand being submerged in freezing water up to 6-meters for at least a half-hour. The team chose a Cree Xlamp XP-L2 LED Emitter 70 CRI bulb for its brightness and lifetime performance along with a 7135 LDO current regulator that’s capable of 2.8 Amps max output for the LED bulb driver. An Orbtronic 18650 High Performance, protected 3400mAh battery keeps this flashlight shining bright for up to 18 hours on low power.

To Switch the group, half press the power switch and scroll to low. Once on low wait 5 seconds, as soon as the light blinks, half press the power switch and mode group is then toggled
