Phoenix's Month in review

todd woicik • Jul 09, 2021

The month of June was a very busy time for

Phoenix Weaponry.

We kicked it off with a thorough sound reduction test for the integrally suppressed shotgun line and the integrally suppressed rifle line. Following military testing procedures and using industry-standard sound meters, Lab Radar, Kestrel meters, and several other instruments, the results were pleasantly surprising. Stay tuned for news on the results.

Construction on the second story inside the building continues and has made room for a brand new lathe on the machine shop floor. With the addition of this new lathe, Phoenix Weaponry will be able to increase production on suppressors, muzzle devices, barrel extensions, and many other weapon parts. Rifles, firearms, and billet machined components continue to ship daily; adding new machines and increased staff makes this possible.

Phoenix Weaponry was able to obtain several Thompson parts kits one; of the main components that’s not included are the lower receivers. 1018 billet steel was selected as the starting material for the new Phoenix Weaponry made Thompson lower receivers. This steel was chosen because, in addition to its strength, it offers a better surface finish when it’s completed, coated, or blued. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to see more!

The Central Wyoming Machine Gun & Cannon Shoot invited Phoenix Weaponry to tour the event this year, as we evaluate becoming a vendor and possibly adding this event to our machine gun party and rental list. Following up on this event was an invite to be on an episode of Sportsman of Colorado radio show (560 AM or 100.7 FM) with special guest Luke from Lone Star Hunts.

Rocky Mountain Tactical Coatings by Phoenix Weaponry continue to amaze customers with their intricate designs, patterns, and finishes. The coating team can Duracoat, paint, or refinish any firearm or component from aluminum to steel and polymer. Beyond firearms and components, the team can transform almost anything you want to be done from engine intakes to industrial coatings. Contact Phoenix Weaponry today to get started.

Phoenix Weaponry continues to exhibit at local gun shows every weekend and sometimes multiple shows from Loveland to Colorado Springs and Fort Morgan to Eagle; if there’s a gun show, look for us there! Please be advised that Phoenix Weaponry will be open on Saturdays by appointment only – Thank you!
